The progress of a Journey

Within the last two months, A Journey Around My Room has gained some airplay on Ayrshire Online and ArranSound. I’m very grateful to both stations for their interest in the play…and it’s always a delight to hear the performances of David Sillars, Lorenzo Novani, Jill Korn together with Alex Bennett’s wonderful post-production. I was asked for an interview by ArranSound’s station editor, Mhairi-Aileen Smeir whereupon we had a wonderful chat about theatre-making. You find yourself talking about all sorts of things that you have not verbally expressed before. For me, the added delight lay in the realisation that Mhairi had taken time out of her schedule to visit my website and read a few of my blog-entries. It gave the interview a depth which was a joy to explore. I am always happy to give interviews, but I can unequivocally say that it is the cherry on the cake when an interviewer has done their research.

A Journey Around My Room airs on ArranSound at 3pm on Sunday 12th June followed by the interview at 4:15pm. Both play and interview will be available at these times throughout the week.
